Sights & Sips Happy Hour Cruise. I chose to take my boyfriend out on this cruise to kick off his birthday. His bday is in December, and in what other city could you plan to be on a boat out on the water that time of year? I love San Diego. We got lucky and had a gorgeous, clear, still evening. We made a beeline for the food! There turned out to be a lot more food than I expected. The menu rotates, but we tore up some baked brie, spinach dip, chicken skewers, cheese/fig crostini, a salmon thingie...it all went well with the several glasses of wine we enjoyed. We wandered around the two levels of the ship and spent most of our time up front sitting outside taking in the views of downtown, the Coronado bridge, and Coronado.

We sailed on the High Spirits May 25 for your evening Sights & Sips cruise, and it more than exceeded our expectations. Jen was the Event Manager on board the ship. We truly had a memorable experience. It all started with Jadyn at the ticket booth, who assisted us in selecting a cruise that would be perfect to fit what we were in the mood for. We got on board the High Spirits, which was an experience in and of itself. So rich in history, etc. We were overheard that it would be a sold out cruise, and couldn't help but cringe. We figured that it would be packed and underserviced. Just the opposite was true. The service was exceptional. Everyone was great. We got Linda's name, but unfortunately were not able to catch everyone's names. That ship must be extremely arduous to run food up and down, but your staff handled it gracefully. We were so amazed. In addition, we expected a few mediocre appetizers, that would sit there for the duration of the cruise. To our delight, the food kept getting replenished regularly (so we did the right thing to wait to hit the food table), and we even had some tray passed hors d'oeuvres. Having worked in Human Resources in the Hospitality industry for over 15 years, I can tell you how hard it is to find genuine, hard working talent, and you definitely found it in this crew.
