Unique venue and dining experience now in Old Sacramento
Sacramento, CA - Hornblower Cruises & Events, a 30-year-old charter yacht and dining cruise company headquartered in San Francisco, has been approved by the Sacramento City Council as the new operator of river tours and dining cruises in Old Sacramento.
Hornblower will operate from the Tourboat Dock, just north of the Tower Bridge. The company will offer a one of kind venue for private events as well as a unique dining experience open to the public.
“We are thrilled to be coming to Old Sacramento, and we’re looking forward to partnering with the City of Sacramento to bring the fun of dining on the water to the area,” said Hornblower CEO Terry MacRae.
Hornblower is the largest passenger vessel company in the United States. It operates more than 50 dining, ferry and excursion boats in California, New York and New Jersey. In addition to offering classic and modern yachts for charter, the company holds two National Park Service concession contracts. It provides ferry service to Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay and ferry service to the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island in New York.
While two vessels will initially be home-ported in Sacramento, all of the San Francisco fleet is available for charter in Sacramento. This includes the Hornblower Hybrid, the country’s first hybrid ferryboat.
