Popular summer activity also boasts concerts and movie nights

Marina del Rey – The daily and special event schedule for the Marina del Rey WaterBus for 2009 has been released. The schedule can be found online at

The WaterBus has been a popular summer activity in Marina del Rey since it was launched in 2002. This year a two-year contract for operating the WaterBus was awarded to longtime Marina del Rey business Hornblower Cruises & Events.

The WaterBus has traditionally operated from June through Labor Day, ferrying residents and visitors around the popular marina. With the addition of Thursday Night Concerts and summer movie nights, the WaterBus has become even more popular.

The WaterBus is available On Call on all Friday nights (5 pm- midnight), Saturdays (11 am – midnight) and Sundays (11 am – 9 pm). Service begins on Friday, June 26 and runs through Monday, September 7. The fare is $1.00 per person, each way. Day Passes are available for $5.00 person and a season pass is available for $30.00 per person.

The stops are: Fisherman’s Village, Burton Chace Park, Waterfront Walk, Mother’s Beach, Dolphin Marina, Esprit 1, and Marina Harbor.  For pick up, passengers should call (310) 628-3219, dock attendants at each WaterBus stop can also call for a pick up.
